In a bid to further strengthen the youth front in Cross River State, the Commissioner for Youth, Barr. Ukam Ijom Charles , inaugurated the Southern Nigeria Youth Congress (SNYC), Cross River State chapter, at the Ministry of Youth Conference Hall in Calabar today.
The meeting, which commenced at 10:43 am, was attended by top ministry officials, including Permanent Secretary Dr. Gabriel Ogbaji, Director of Administration Mrs. Angela Charles, Deputy Director of Youth Mrs. Evelyn Isamo and Mrs Margaret Ekoro.
Comr. Austin Nkom ,National Representative of SNYC, highlighted the significance of the inauguration, stating that it marks a landmark moment for Cross River State to be included in the SNYC agenda.
Commissioner Barr. Ijom Ukam expressed his satisfaction with the emergence of SNYC, praising the members’ efforts and commitment to addressing the concerns of Southern Nigerian youth. He emphasized the timely existence of the group, which will tackle challenges faced by the South-East, West, and South-South regions of Nigeria.
The inauguration ceremony also featured the issuance of certificates to executive members, who will serve in various capacities, including:
