On the 28th Nov. 2024, a delegation of members of Southern Nigeria Youth Congress along side its committee on Diaspora led by the President General, Comr. Emordi Ugochukwu Caleb (Odogwu) GCA., paid a courtesy call to Hon. Chief Donatus Nwankpa the National welfare sectary of APC, and Hon Tolu Bankole, the national leader of People living With Disabilities (PWD) at the party secretariat.
The President General appreciated Chief Donatus Nwankpa for his warm reception and interest in uplifting the interest of the Nigerian youths through critical stakeholders engagement, and further mentioned the need for more collaborations that will protect the interest of southern youths. He also advocated that the party should consider the southern region in its frame work engagement mainly the youths as they are a critical stakeholders in driving sustainable change.
Mr. Vincent Ezeala who serves as the Abia state rep of the Congress and chairman, committee on Diaspora, highlighted key government developmental initiatives in the Tinubu led administration and tasked the party on ensuring inclusiveness mainly at the grass root level.
In his response, Chief Donatus Nwankpa thanked the team for dimming it fit to project the interest of the southern Nigeria youths, he also encouraged the members of SNYC to continue in conducting themselves in a manner that set the region on the right trajectory as they have been doing. He Stated that there are some scavenger-youths who are only interested in the now and not the future, but he is glad that the leadership of SNYC is determined to protect the sanctity and image of good governance and leadership.
He further promised effective collaborations and assistance from the party in areas that might be needful to sustain the region and the overall interest of the country.
